Delete my data
You can ask us to delete your personal data, or your child's, at any time. There is no form to fill in and no account to close first.
Last updated 5 November 2026.
How to ask
Send an email to:
contact@blackflux.in
Include:
1. The name of your skating academy
2. The name of the child, or your own name if the request is about you
3. The mobile number you use to sign in
You can also ask your academy directly. They can remove records themselves and will usually be quicker.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your email within 2 working days.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will not hand over or delete a child's records on the word of someone we cannot identify as their parent.
- We confirm the request with your academy, since the academy decides what its own records contain.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days, and write to tell you it is done. Most requests are finished well inside that.
What gets deleted
- The child's profile: name, date of birth, gender, address, school
- Their photograph
- Attendance records
- Coach notes and achievements
- Leave notices
- Messages between you and the academy
- Notifications sent to you
- Your parent profile and sign-in, including your phone number and the stored PIN hash
- Any device identifiers held for notifications
What we have to keep, and why
| What | Why we keep it |
|---|---|
| Fee and payment records: invoices, payments received, equipment sold | These are books of account. Indian tax and accounting law requires them to be kept for a set number of years and we are not permitted to delete them early. They are kept as a financial record only, and are not used for anything else. |
| The internal record of who changed fees and access, and when | It is how a disputed payment is investigated and how we detect misuse. It holds no passwords or PINs, and phone numbers, email addresses and bank account numbers in it are stored masked to their last four characters. |
Everything else goes.
If you do nothing
You do not have to ask. A child's personal records are deleted automatically 2 years after they leave the academy. Fee records are kept for the statutory period as described above. This is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.
If you are not satisfied
Write to our Grievance Officer, named in section 11 of the Privacy Policy. If we still do not resolve it, you can complain to the relevant data protection authority in India.
